Submission Guidelines

If you would like to submit an original design for possible publication, we ask that you follow these guidelines.

Submit Via Postal Mail

1. A picture of the design
2. Complete chart (a photo copy, not the original chart)
   1. Charted either on 10-squares per inch grid paper, or
   2. Drawn on a professional charting program (Pattern Maker Pro)
   3. Mark center of chart with arrows
   4. Use symbols instead of color-codes
3. Instructions
   1. Fabric name, count, color name, and manufacturer
   2. Floss name, color, and number of strands used for cross-stitch, backstitch, and specialty stitches
   3. Specify specialty threads including color name, number, and manufacturer
   4. Specify specialty stitches and diagrams
   5. Specify any embellishment such as beads, buttons, etc. including manufacturer and contact information
   6. Include stitch width and height
   7. Indicate whether project is stitched over one or two threads
   8. Provide stitcher's name
   9. Provide names of manufacturers who supplied courtesy materials
4. Finishing instructions for items that are not framed
5. Photography of finished piece. *Note: Please do not send actual project until requested.
